The Free Mind Tour-Hundredth

A couple of months ago my friends in Hundredth asked me to do a tour admat for their summer tour with Counterparts, State Champs, Being As An Ocean, and Heart to Heart. I would have posted this earlier but, I wanted to wait for them to announce the tour before I posted the artwork. The other day they finally announced the tour which starts July 12th in Charleston, SC and ends August 2nd in Toledo, OH. Check out their facebook for all the tour dates.

Let’s Be Friends…

A few weeks ago I decided to challenge myself to quickly come up with a design and screen print it. So I sat down with some paper and pencil and spent about 30 minutes sketching stuff out. Finally settled with the phrase “Let’s Be Friends” (as in “Hey! I want to be friends with you!” NOT “I really think we would be better off as  friends”). Then I some tracing paper and a sharpie, traced the design, and went straight to the exposure unit to burn the screen. (Tracing paper is a great quick and easy alternative for burning an image into a screen, specifically a drawing/doodle).

If you want one, Pick one up HERE.

Hundredth – Flower and Gun t-shirt

I recently did a t-shirt design for the band Hundredth. My friend Chad, hundredth vocalist, was kind enough to send me a photo of him modeling the shirt.

They have a few of these shirts left over on their BigCartel store.

Atomic Sketch: Movember Art Walk

For this months Movember Themed Art Walk in Jacksonville, FL, I teamed up with Karen Kurycki on some illustrations for AIGA’s Atomic Sketch: Movember Edition. She provided the awesome watercolors and I added the lines with my Sharpies.

“Pennsylvania” AIGA Always Summer Poster Show

Almost a month later, and I’m finally posting my entry for the 2012 AIGA Always Summer Poster Show + Mix Tape. This the fourth year that AIGA Jacksonville has put on the event, and this was my fourth time participating in the show. This show is always a lot of fun and every year it gets bigger and bigger. I think they said there was close to 100 posters this year from Jacksonville area designers. You can read more about what AIGA Jax had to say about the event on their blog.

This year I chose to do a poster for the song “Pennsylvania” by The Bloodhound Gang. It’s a great song, so check it out.

You can view pictures from the event on the AIGA Jax Flickr Page.
